ABOUT US

Circle of Friends is a cycling team based in Metro Detroit, Michigan that is dedicated to putting the brakes on multiple sclerosis. Each year, we train for and ride in a Bike MS ride together. Each year, we are one of the top fundraising teams in the state. From 2018-2020, we were THE highest fundraising team in the state, having out-fundraised teams like Dow, Ford, and GM. For many years now, we have been the highest fundraising non-corporate team. Our team motto is "It's more than just a ride." While it's a great ride to do, and we enjoy each other's company on training rides and on the weekend of the Bike MS event, we are all committed to raising as much as we can to assist the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in their work toward ending MS.

The team is led by Tanya Nordhaus, who was diagnosed with MS in 2001, the year our team was founded.  Tanya rode in the Bike MS events for ten years before being diagnosed with the very disease she had fundraised for and raised awareness of all those years before.  You can learn more about Tanya, her diagnosis, and how she deals with her MS in the videos 2/20 and Pink Helmet.

If you are interested in joining our team or donating to the National MS Society on behalf of our team, please contact via form on HOME page.
